Section 159 (Manual HVAC System): Compressor: Removal

- Perform oil return operation. < Ref. to OPERATION , Compressor Oil.>
- Turn A/C switch OFF and stop the engine.
- Using refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. < Ref. to OPERATION , Refrigerant Recovery Procedures.>
- Disconnect ground cable from battery.
- Remove duct (A).
- Disconnect low-pressure hose (A) and high-pressure hose (B).CAUTION: Be careful not to lose O-rings on hose. Immediately seal hose with a plug or vinyl tape to prevent the entry of contamination.
- Remove V-belt. < Ref. to REMOVAL , V-belt.>
- Remove generator. < Ref. to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION REMOVAL, Generator.>
- Disconnect compressor harness from body harness.
- Remove bolts from compressor bracket.
- Loosen bolts to remove compressor from bracket.
