System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position. AIR BAG warning light should illuminate for approximately 6 seconds and then go off. If AIR BAG warning light stays on for longer than 6 seconds, or does not come on, air bag system is malfunctioning. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
