Section 114 (Engine Cooling System): Thermostat: Removal

  1. Lift-up the vehicle.
  2. Remove the under cover.
  3. Drain engine coolant completely. See DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT , Replacement, Engine Coolant.

  4. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the thermostat cover.
    • NON-TURBO MODEL

  5. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose.
    • TURBO MODEL

  6. Remove the thermostat cover and gasket, and pull out the thermostat.
