Mil Does Not Go Out

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect connector from ECM. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If MIL illuminates, repair short circuit in harness between instrument cluster and ECM connector. If MIL does not illuminate, replace ECM.
