Ignition Key Lock

- Remove the instrument panel lower cover. See INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION section of this article.
- Remove the lower column cover.
- Unfasten the hold-down clip which secures the harness, and disconnect the connector of the ignition switch from the body harness.
- Turn the ignition key plate to each position, and measure the ignition switch resistance. See Fig 1 . If no good, replace ignition switch.
