Rear Oxygen Sensor: Removal

Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

Disconnect the connector from securing bracket, and then disconnect the connector of rear oxygen sensor.

Lift up the vehicle.
Apply SUBARU CRC or its equivalent to the threaded portion of rear oxygen sensor, and leave it for one minute or more.
SUBARU CRC (Part No. 004301003)
Remove the rear oxygen sensor.
CAUTION: When removing the rear oxygen sensor, wait until the exhaust pipe cools, otherwise it will damage the exhaust pipe.
