Immobilizer Control Unit: Removal

NOTE:
  • Prepare the security ID plate.
  • Prepare all registered immobilizer keys for the model with immobilizer.
  • When replacing the immobilizer control unit, make a registration of immobilizer. At that time, a new immobilizer key is required. For detailed operation procedure.
  • If not replacing the immobilizer control unit, repeat registration of a key used before is not required.
  • If not replacing the immobilizer control unit, a maximum of four keys, including the added key, can be registered at the time of key addition.
  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Remove the instrument panel lower cover. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Instrument Panel Assembly. >
  3. Disconnect the connector from immobilizer control unit.
  4. Remove the immobilizer control unit.
