Immobilizer Control Unit: Removal
NOTE:
- Prepare the security ID plate.
- Prepare all registered immobilizer keys for the model with immobilizer.
- When replacing the immobilizer control unit, make a registration of immobilizer. At that time, a new immobilizer key is required. For detailed operation procedure.
- If not replacing the immobilizer control unit, repeat registration of a key used before is not required.
- If not replacing the immobilizer control unit, a maximum of four keys, including the added key, can be registered at the time of key addition.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the instrument panel lower cover. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Instrument Panel Assembly. >
- Disconnect the connector from immobilizer control unit.
- Remove the immobilizer control unit.
