Intake Manifold: Removal

Release the fuel pressure. < Ref. to , RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel. >
Open the fuel filler flap lid, and remove the fuel filler cap.
Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

Remove the air cleaner case and air intake chamber. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Cleaner Case.> < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Intake Chamber. >
Remove the generator. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Generator. >
Disconnect the spark plug cords from spark plugs.
Disconnect the PCV hose from intake manifold.

Disconnect the engine coolant hoses (A) from throttle body.

Disconnect the brake booster hose.

Disconnect the engine harness connectors from bulkhead harness connectors.

Disconnect the knock sensor connector.

Disconnect the connector from crankshaft position sensor.

Disconnect the connector from power steering pump switch (A).
Disconnect the connector from oil pressure switch (B).

Disconnect the connector from camshaft position sensor.

Disconnect the connector from front oxygen (A/F) sensor.

Disconnect the connectors from engine coolant temperature sensor.

Remove the EGR pipe from intake manifold and cylinder head.

Disconnect the fuel hoses from fuel pipes using ST.
WARNING:
- Be careful not to spill fuel.
- Catch the fuel from hoses using a container or cloth.

Remove the bolts which secure intake manifold to cylinder head.

Remove the intake manifold.
