Curtain Airbag Module: Removal

CAUTION: Refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" before handling the airbag module. Refer to CAUTION , General Description.

Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect the ground cable from battery and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work.
Remove the front pillar upper trim and center pillar upper trim.
- Front pillar upper trim, Refer to FRONT PILLAR UPPER TRIM , REMOVAL, Side Trim.
- Center pillar upper trim, Refer to CENTER PILLAR UPPER TRIM , REMOVAL, Side Trim.
Remove the rear quarter trim. Refer to REMOVAL , Rear Quarter Trim.
Remove the roof trim. Refer to REMOVAL , Roof Trim.
Disconnect the connector from curtain airbag module.
Remove the bolts, and then remove the curtain airbag module.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the curtain airbag module during removal.
- Never open the curtain airbag module before deploying it. Never reuse the deployed curtain airbag module.

Remove the front pillar pad from the front pillar.
