Transmitter Battery (With Smart Entry): Replacement

- Removal of transmitter battery
- Push the release button and remove the emergency key.
- Using a flat tip screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, remove the transmitter cover.CAUTION: Do not pry the cover excessively.
- Using a flat tip screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, remove the transmitter battery (lithium battery).CAUTION:
- Do not press the terminal by a finger.
- If you pry the transmitter battery (lithium battery) excessively, the terminal is deformed.
- Before replacing the transmitter battery (lithium battery), touch the vehicle body to discharge static electricity carried on your body so that the electronic key is not damaged by static electricity.
- Push the release button and remove the emergency key.
- Installation of transmitter battery
- Install the transmitter battery (lithium battery) as shown in the figure.CAUTION:
- Face the positive side of the battery upward.
- Do not deform the terminal.
- Before replacing the transmitter battery, touch the vehicle body to discharge static electricity carried on your body so that the electronic key is not damaged by static electricity.
NOTE:- If the terminal is contaminated, wipe it away with a soft cloth before installing the battery.
- Check that the terminal is not damaged and there is no foreign matters inside.
- Install the transmitter cover.
- Insert the emergency key.
- After finishing assembly, check that LED illuminates when any switch is pressed.
- Install the transmitter battery (lithium battery) as shown in the figure.
