How To Troubleshoot

- Bring in the car
- Interview and phenomenon check
- Phenomenon check
- Check the warning light
- Check CAN communication system. (Refer to HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT )

Result Go to The airbag warning light illuminates. A The airbag warning light does not illuminate. B B: Perform the diagnosis according to the trouble phenomenon
A: Go to next step
- Read the DTC
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor to data link connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and start the Subaru Select Monitor.
- Read the DTC.NOTE: Check the communication circuit if the communication function of the Subaru Select Monitor does not function normally.
- Record all DTCs and failure status information.
RESULT DESCRIPTIONResult Go to DTC is detected. A No DTC is detected B B: Perform the inspection by referring to "Fault in the airbag warning light".
A: Go to next step
- Perform diagnosis
- Use the list of diagnostic codes to determine the cause of the fault.
- Perform inspection according to the diagnostic code.
- Repair the cause of trouble.
- Delete the diagnostic code.
- Execute the check mode.
- Confirm that no other DTC is detected.
RESULT DESCRIPTIONResult Go to DTC is detected. A No DTC is detected B B: Complete the diagnosis.
