Checking/clearing diagnostic codes

  1. Read the diagnosis codes.
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3 connector.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Follow the SSM3 display screen to read the diagnosis codes.
      CAUTION: If an error is detected, recheck diagnosis codes after the issue is resolved and confirm that no error code is output.
  2. Delete recorded diagnosis codes.
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Follow the SSM3 display screen to delete the diagnosis codes.
