Rear Gate Opener Button: Removal

NOTE: The rear gate opener button is integrated into the license plate light assembly harness.

Remove the rear gate garnish. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the rear gate opener button.
1. Release the locks at both ends of the rear gate opener button by pushing with a flat tip screwdriver.

2. Remove the screws and remove the rear lock button (lock). (model with keyless access)

3. Disconnect the rear exterior antenna connector. (model with keyless access)

4. Remove the screws and remove the license plate light.

5. Remove the license plate light assembly harness from the rear gate garnish.
