Section 8 (Engine Cooling System (H4DO)): Radiator: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: The radiator is pressurized when the engine and radiator are hot. Wait until engine and radiator cool down before working on the radiator.
  1. Remove the V-belt covers.

  2. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the clip, and remove the bracket - grille.

  4. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

  5. Lift up the vehicle.
  6. Remove the under cover. Refer to REMOVAL .
  7. Drain engine coolant. Refer to DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
  8. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from thermostat cover.

  9. Disconnect the CVTF cooler hoses from the CVTF pipes. (CVT model)
    NOTE: Plug the CVT pipe to prevent CVTF from leaking.

  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Remove the reservoir tank. Refer to REMOVAL .
  12. Disconnect the connector (A) from the main fan motor assembly and the connector (B) from the sub fan motor assembly.

  13. Disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the water pipe assembly.

  14. Remove the radiator upper brackets.

  15. Lift the radiator up and away from vehicle.
