ECM Relearn
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle.
After disconnecting battery or replacing ECM, turn ignition on and wait 10 seconds before starting vehicle. After the battery is connected, initial diagnosis of the electronic throttle control is performed. Drive vehicle to enable ECM to relearn driveability. Inform your customer that they may experience driveability patterns different from what they are accustomed to until ECM completes relearn function.
