Inspection steps
CAUTION:
Always perform a steering zero point calibration after replacing the steering column assembly or power steering computer assembly. (Refer to WORK SUPPORT
)
- Check the connector connection
- Check the connection state of motor rotation angle sensor connector z2.
Criteria: The motor rotation angle sensor connector is properly connected to the power steering computer assembly.

NG: Connect it securely
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check the connection state of motor rotation angle sensor connector z2.
- Read the SSM3 data (motor rotation angle)
- Use the SSM3 to check the [Motor Rotation Angle]. (Refer to [CURRENT DATA DISPLAY & SAVE]

NG: Go to Step 3.
OK: Replace the power steering computer assembly (Refer to REMOVAL )
- Use the SSM3 to check the [Motor Rotation Angle]. (Refer to [CURRENT DATA DISPLAY & SAVE]
)
- Inspect the steering column assembly (motor rotation angle sensor)
- Disconnect the motor rotation angle sensor connector z2 from the power steering computer assembly.
- Measure the resistance of the vehicle side connector.RESISTANCE
