Variant Work

Perform when replacing the combination meter assembly.

CAUTION:
  • Subaru Select Monitor is required for variant work.
  • If an error is displayed during the work, click the «OK» button and perform the variant work again.

Operation procedure A 

  1. Connect the Subaru Select Monitor.
  2. On «Main Menu» display, select «Each System Check».
  3. On «System Selection Menu» display, select «Combination Meter».
  4. On «Control module settings» display, select «Read Control module setting information».
  5. Save and close the file.
  6. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new part.
  7. On «Main Menu» display, select «Each System Check».
  8. On «System Selection Menu» display, select «Combination Meter».
  9. On «Control module settings» display, select «Write Control module setting information».
  10. Select «Write ECU setting save data», and open the file stored in «Read Control module setting information».
  11. When the confirmation screen indicating the vehicle information appears, check that the correct information is displayed and click the «OK» button.
  12. Confirm that «Write operation was completed.» is displayed, and click the «OK» button.

Operation procedure B 

  1. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new part.
  2. Connect the Subaru Select Monitor.
  3. On «Main Menu» display, select «Each System Check».
  4. On «System Selection Menu» display, select «Combination Meter».
  5. On «Control module settings» display, select «Write Control module setting information».
  6. On «Read Control module setting information» display, select «Write ECU setting 12 columns of models».

    Enter the applied model and click the «OK» button. <Ref. to IDENTIFICATION NUMBER & LABEL LOCATIONS , IDENTIFICATION, Identification.>

  7. Enter the option code and click the «OK» button. <Ref. to IDENTIFICATION NUMBER & LABEL LOCATIONS , IDENTIFICATION, Identification.>
  8. Confirm the vehicle information on «Write ECU setting 12 columns of models» display and click the «OK» button.
  9. When «Write?» is shown on the screen, click the «Yes» button.
  10. Confirm that «Write operation was completed.» is displayed, and click the «OK» button.
