Combination Meter: Removal

CAUTION: When the combination meter is replaced, perform the variant work. < Ref. to VARIANT WORK , OPERATION, Combination Meter System. >
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. < Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents. >
  2. Release the lock, tilt the steering column to the lowest end and fully extend the column by the telescopic system.
  3. Remove the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Instrument Panel Lower Cover. >
  4. Remove the visor assembly - lower.
    1. Release the clips and claws.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the visor assembly - lower.
      CAUTION:
      • Being careful not to damage the visor assembly - lower, slowly remove the clips and claws one by one from the right and left edges of visor assembly - lower.
      • When using a clip remover, wrap it with protective tape or cloth.

  5. Remove the combination meter assembly.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the combination meter assembly, lens or instrument panel.
    1. Release the claws and remove the cover - column (a).
    2. Remove the screws and clips.

    3. Pull the combination meter assembly toward you and disconnect the connector.
    4. Remove the combination meter assembly as shown in the figure.
