Check Hazard Light System

DIAGNOSTICS PROCEDURE

Step	Check	Yes	No
1 CHECK HAZARD LIGHT OPERATION . Turn the hazard switch to ON. Check that the hazard light operates properly.	Does the hazard light blink?	The hazard light system is normal.	Go to step 2 .
2 CHECK BULB . Check the hazard (turn signal) light bulb.	Is the bulb normal?	Go to step 3 .	Replace the hazard (turn signal) light bulb.
3 CHECK CURRENT DATA . Using the Subaru Select Monitor, display the data of «Hazard switch Input». NOTE: For detailed procedures, refer to "PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor".	Does the display change to OFF ←→ ON, when the hazard switch is turned to ON?	Go to step 6 .	Go to step 4 .
4 CHECK HAZARD SWITCH . Check the hazard switch. <Ref. to INSPECTION , Hazard Switch.>	Is the hazard switch normal?	Go to step 5 .	Replace the hazard switch.
5 CHECK HARNESS . Disconnect the connectors of body integrated unit and hazard switch. Check the harness between body integrated unit and hazard switch.	Is harness normal?	Check the body integrated unit and replace it if defective. <Ref. to BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .>	Repair or replace the harness.
6 CHECK CURRENT DATA . Display the data of «Left turn signal output» and «Right turn signal output» using Subaru Select Monitor.	Does the display change to OFF ←→ ON, when the hazard switch is turned to ON?	Check the body integrated unit and replace it if defective. <Ref. to BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .>	Go to step 7 .
7 CHECK HARNESS . Disconnect the connectors of body integrated unit and each turn signal light. Check the harness between body integrated unit and each turn signal light.	Is harness normal?	Check the body integrated unit and replace it if defective. <Ref. to BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .>	Repair or replace the harness.
