Toe Control Link: Installation
NOTE:
- The following procedure is for LH side.
- Service the LH side and the RH side using the same procedure.
- Temporary tightening of toe control link sub-assembly LH
- After inserting the toe adjust cam from the front of the vehicle, install the toe control link sub-assembly LH and temporarily tighten it with the toe adjust plate No. 2 using a new nut.CAUTION: Align the alignment marks of the rear suspension member sub-assembly and the toe adjust plate No. 2.
- Install the toe control link to the axle carrier, and tighten it with the nut.
Standard value: T=60N.m {612kgf.cm} {44.3ft.lbf}
- Install a new snap pin.
- After inserting the toe adjust cam from the front of the vehicle, install the toe control link sub-assembly LH and temporarily tighten it with the toe adjust plate No. 2 using a new nut.
- Temporary tightening of rear suspension arm assembly No. 1 LH (Refer to INSTALLATION )
- Stabilization of vehicle (Refer to DISPOSAL )
- Final tightening of toe control link sub-assembly LH
- Fully tighten the nut on the side of the rear suspension member sub-assembly.
Standard value: T=100N.m {1020kgf.cm} {73.8ft.lbf}
CAUTION: Make sure that the alignment marks of the rear suspension member sub-assembly and the toe adjust plate No. 2 are aligned.
- Fully tighten the nut on the side of the rear suspension member sub-assembly.
- Final tightening of rear suspension arm assembly No. 1 LH (Refer to TOE CONTROL LINK )
- Installation of rear tire
Standard value: T=120N.m {1224kgf.cm} {88.5ft.lbf}
- Inspection and adjustment of rear wheel alignment (Refer to REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT )
- Headlight beam adjustment (Refer to ADJUSTMENT )
- Mid point setting of the VDC sensor (Refer to WORK SUPPORT )
