Rear Lock Button: Removal

NOTE: The rear lock button is integrated into the rear gate opener button.
  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery. < Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Note. >
    NOTE: For the 12 volt engine restart battery of HEV model, disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor.
  2. Remove the garnish assembly - rear gate. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Gate Garnish. >
  3. Remove the screws and remove the rear lock button.

  4. Release the locks at both ends of the button - opener rear gate by pushing them with a flat tip screwdriver, remove the button - opener rear gate and remove the integrated harness.
