Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Lift up the vehicle.
  3. Remove the under cover. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM > Front Under Cover > REMOVAL .
  4. Drain approximately 3.0 L (3.2 US qt, 2.6 lmp qt) of coolant. Ref. to COOLING(H4DO) > Engine Coolant > DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
  5. Remove the clip (A) from the air intake boot.
  6. Loosen the clamp (B) securing the air cleaner case (rear) to the air intake boot.
  7. Loosen the clamp (C) which secures the throttle body to the air intake boot.

  8. Remove the air intake boot from the throttle body, and move it to the left side wheel apron.

  9. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the throttle position sensor.
  10. Disconnect the preheater hose (B) from the throttle body.

  11. Remove the throttle body from the intake manifold.
