Parking Brake Lever: Installation
- Install the inner cable end to equalizer.
- Install the bracket - console box.
Tightening torque:
6.5 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.8 ft-lb)
- Install the lever assembly - hand brake.
Tightening torque:
18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
CAUTION: Do not reuse the adjusting nut (self locking nut). Always replace with a new part. - Be sure to adjust the lever stroke. <Ref. to ADJUSTMENT , Parking Brake Lever.>
- Install the console box assembly.
- Install the driver's seat. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Seat.>
- Connect the battery ground terminal. <Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Note.>
NOTE:
For CVT models, after connecting the battery sensor terminal, place the select lever in the P position.
