Engine Side

Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
NOTE: Align the positions of the jiggle pin (a) and the positioning rib (b) of the gasket.

Install the thermostat and thermostat cover.
NOTE: Align the positions of groove (a) of the oil pan upper and the positioning rib (b) of the gasket.

Tightening torque:

6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)
Connect the radiator outlet hose.
Install the center exhaust pipe (front), Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE>INSTALLATION>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE (FRONT) .
Connect the battery ground terminal, Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
