Gateway Control Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Release the lock, tilt the steering column to the lowest end and fully extend the column by the telescopic system.
  3. Remove the grille assembly - CTR ventilation LH. Refer to AIR CONDITIONER (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>CENTER GRILLE ASSEMBLY .
  4. Remove the combination meter assembly. Refer to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER>REMOVAL .
  5. Detach the screws and remove the reinforcement - combination meter.

  6. Remove the central gateway Control Module.
    CAUTION: Be careful to keep water and other foreign materials away from the central gateway Control Module terminals.
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Release the claws and remove the central gateway Control Module.
