Push Button Ignition Switch: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the grille assembly - CTR ventilation LH. Refer to AIR CONDITIONER (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>CENTER GRILLE ASSEMBLY .
  4. Remove the visor assembly - combination meter.
    1. Release the clips of the cover assembly - visor LWR.

    2. Release the screws, clips and claws.

    3. Disconnect the connector, and remove the visor assembly - combination meter.
  5. Remove the panel - starter SW.
    1. Release the claws.
    2. Detach the connectors and remove the panel - starter SW.

  6. Remove the switch - push button start.
