Stop Light Switch: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, always refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY>GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the knee airbag module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>KNEE AIRBAG MODULE>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the stop light switch assembly.
    1. Disconnect the stop light switch assembly connector.
    2. Remove the nut, and remove the stop light switch assembly.
