HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY-DESIGN CHANGE

TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN

Reference Number(s): 10-95-19, Date of Issue:  September 26, 2019
SUBARU: 2019 Forester

APPLICABILITY

2019MY Forester

INTRODUCTION

This bulletin announces availability of new heater control panels assemblies with revised operating logic. Previously, when A/C cut-off control was activated (e.g. under full acceleration), the air inlet mode would be switched from inside (recirculation) to "fresh" and allow outside (fresh) air to enter the cabin. This is considered normal and intended operation, consistent with the design of the system. However, in the interest of customer satisfaction, these new control panels retain the selected air inlet mode regardless of a/c cut-off control status (off or on).

PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION

This bulletin will be updated with the starting VINs for these new control panels when they become available.
