Primary Speed Sensor: Removal
CAUTION:
Be sure to prevent water or oil from contacting the connector terminal of primary speed sensor. If adhesion occurs, replace with a new part.
- Remove the collector cover.
- Carefully pull up the rear of collector cover at two positions (A).
- Carefully pull up the front of collector cover at two positions (B) while moving it forward.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Loosen the clamp (A) which connects the air intake boot.
- Loosen the bolt (B) securing the air intake boot to the collector cover bracket.
- Remove the air intake boot from the throttle body and the air cleaner case (rear), and move it to the left side wheel apron.CAUTION: Be careful not to allow the air intake boot to contact the air conditioner pipe.
- Clean the transmission exterior.
- Disconnect the harness stay.
- Remove the primary speed sensor harness connector.
- Remove the primary speed sensor.
