Backup Unit: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the heater control panel assembly. Refer to AIR CONDITIONER>CONTROL PANEL>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the cover assembly front and the console box assembly. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the cover center side. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE .
  5. Remove the duct console center. Refer to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT DUCT>REMOVAL>CONSOLE DUCT .
  6. Remove the duct console front and the tray center UPR as a unit. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the backup unit.
    1. Release the connector and the clip.
    2. Remove the bolts and remove the backup unit.
