Active Grille Shutter: Installation

  1. Install the ambient sensor.
  2. Install the active grille shutter to the bracket active grille shutter front.
  3. Install the active grille shutter and the bracket active grille shutter front as a unit in the order as shown in the figure.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  4. Connect the connector to the active grille shutter actuator.
  5. Connect the connector to the ambient sensor.
  6. Install the under cover front. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the bumper face front. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT BUMPER>INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  9. When the active grille shutter has been replaced, perform the calibration (execute the system operation check for ACTGS control). Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO)>ACTIVE TEST .
