Operation From Keyless/Keyless Access Mobile Key Is Not Possible

NOTE: Before performing diagnosis, initialize the power rear gate system by opening the power rear gate in manual operation, and then operating the power rear gate auto closer in the partially latched state.

CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of [Power Rear Gate] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Refer to POWER REAR GATE (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

Are any DTCs displayed?

Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

No : Go to 2.
CHECK DATA MONITOR .
Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Rear Gate]. Refer to POWER REAR GATE (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- Normal Keyless R/G SW
  or
- Smart Keyless R/G SW
Does the display switch between [OFF], [Short Push] and [Long Push] according to the mobile key SW operation?

Yes : Switch input signal is normal.

No : Go to 3.
CHECK BODY INTEGRATED UNIT .
- For models with keyless access
  Perform "KEYLESS ACCESS LOCK/UNLOCK CANNOT BE PERFORMED FROM ANY OF THE DOORS" in KPS (DIAGNOSTICS). Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>INSPECTION>KEYLESS ACCESS LOCK/UNLOCK CANNOT BE PERFORMED FROM ANY OF THE DOORS .
- For models without keyless access
  Perform "BOTH LOCK AND UNLOCK DO NOT FUNCTION WITH KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM" in KLE (DIAGNOSTICS). Refer to KEYLESS ENTRY (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>INSPECTION>BOTH LOCK AND UNLOCK DO NOT FUNCTION WITH KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM .
Is the check result OK?

Yes : Replace Power rear gate Control Module. Refer to POWER REAR GATE SYSTEM>POWER REAR GATE CONTROL MODULE .

No : Repair it according to each inspection.
