Rear Seat: Installation

  1. Install the striker backrest. (Sedan model)

    Tightening torque: 

    33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

  2. Install the striker backrest adjuster. (OUTBACK model) Refer to SEATS>Rear Seat Reclining System>INSTALLATION>STRIKER .
  3. Install the backrest assembly RH and LH.
    CAUTION: For models with the seat heater, connect the connectors securely.
    NOTE:
    • After installing the backrest assembly, make sure that each seat belt operates normally.
    • Make sure that they are properly secured on each hook on the vehicle side.

    Tightening torque: 

    Refer to "COMPONENT" of "General Description" for the tightening torque, Refer to SEATS>General Description>COMPONENT>REAR SEAT .

  4. Install the pad rear side RH and LH.

    Tightening torque: 

    Refer to "COMPONENT" of "General Description" for the tightening torque, Refer to SEATS>General Description>COMPONENT>REAR SEAT .

  5. Install the rear seat cushion assembly.
    CAUTION:
    • For models with the seat heater, connect the connectors securely.
    • Check routing of each buckle of the seat belt.
  6. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor, Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
