Check SUBARU STARLINK Service

Probable cause: 

Smartphone malfunction, influence by radio wave condition, influence by STARLINK service side, unit body malfunction

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Refer to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK SMARTPHONE  .

    Check the smartphone connection.

    Can the smartphone connect the Internet?

    Yes  : Go to  4.

    No  : Go to  2.

  2. CHECK RADIO WAVE CONDITION  .

    Move to a location where the radio wave condition is good, and confirm the connection.

    Can the smartphone connect the Internet?

    Yes  : Go to  4.

    No  : Go to  3.

  3. CHECK RADIO WAVE CONDITION  .

    Communication network gets busy at times even in a good radio wave location. In this case, wait for some time and then try again.

    Can the smartphone connect the Internet?

    Yes  : Go to  4.

    No  : The smartphone may be defective.

  4. CHECK SUBARU STARLINK  .

    Check service provision status with SUBARU STARLIN

    Is there any problem in the service provision status?

    Yes  : Try to connect after the problem in service provision is solved.

    No  : Go to  5.

  5. CHECK SOFTWARE VERSION  .

    Check the firmware of the cockpit control module.

    Is the firmware the latest?

    Yes  : Replace the cockpit control module. Refer to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY .

    No  : Update the firmware to the latest and reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
