Front Exhaust Pipe: Installation

Install the turbocharger stay.
Tightening torque:

19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

Using a new gasket, temporarily install the front exhaust pipe, center exhaust pipe (front) and turbo charger as a unit.
CAUTION: Be sure to install the front exhaust pipe to the cylinder head.

NOTE: Support the front exhaust pipe with the transmission jack.
Tighten the nuts in the numerical order as shown in the figure.
Tightening torque:

65 N.m (6.6 kgf-m, 47.9 ft-lb)

Install the bolts securing the exhaust stay.
Tightening torque:

33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

Install the oil catch tank. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>Oil Catch Tank>INSTALLATION .
Connect the electronic control waste gate valve connector (A) and the electronic control air by-pass valve connector (B).

Connect the rear oxygen sensor connector and ground cord.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

Connect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector, and install the clip.

Install the intake duct No. 1. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>Intake Duct>INSTALLATION>INTAKE DUCT NO. 1 .
Install the center exhaust pipe (rear). Refer to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>Center Exhaust Pipe>INSTALLATION>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE (REAR) .
Install the intake duct No. 2. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>Intake Duct>INSTALLATION>INTAKE DUCT NO. 2 .
Temporarily tighten the bolts which hold the turbocharger stay.

Tighten the bolts which hold the turbocharger stay in the numerical order shown in the figure.
Tightening torque:

33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

Use a new gasket to connect the oil pipe to the chain cover.
Tightening torque:

24 N.m (2.4 kgf-m, 17.7 ft-lb)

Connect the water hose to the water tank pipe assembly.

Install the air intake duct. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>Air Intake Duct>INSTALLATION .
Check the engine oil level and replenish the engine oil if necessary. Refer to LUBRICATION (H4DOTC)>Engine Oil>INSPECTION .
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Fill engine coolant. Refer to COOLING (H4DOTC)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
