Engine Side

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
    NOTE: Align the positions of the jiggle pin (a) and the positioning rib (b) of the gasket.

  2. Install the thermostat and thermostat cover.
    NOTE: Align the positions of groove (a) of the oil pan upper and the positioning rib (b) of the gasket.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

  3. Connect the radiator outlet hose.

  4. Install the center exhaust pipe (front). Refer to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>Center Exhaust Pipe>INSTALLATION>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE (FRONT) .
  5. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  6. Fill engine coolant. Refer to COOLING (H4DOTC)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
