Rear Lock Button: Removal

NOTE: The rear lock button is integrated with the switch opener rear gate.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the garnish assembly rear gate. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Rear Gate Garnish>REMOVAL
  3. Remove the switch opener rear gate. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>Rear Gate Opener Button>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the switch request (lock).
    CAUTION: When using a flat tip screwdriver, apply protective tape or cloth and be careful not to cause damage  .
    1. Remove the screws, and remove the garnish assembly rear gate LWR.
    2. Remove the screws, and remove the switch request (lock).
