Multi-Function Display Switch

  1. Measure the resistance between connector terminals.

    • Normal type
      Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
      13 - 16 INFO OFF 3 MΩ or more
      ON Approx. 30 Ω
    • High grade type
      Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
      13 - 15 Δ (UP) ENTER or VIEW (DOWN) All OFF Δ (UP) 3 MΩ or more
      Δ (UP) ON Approx. 10 Ω
      ENTER or VIEW ON Approx. 470 Ω
      (DOWN) ON Approx. 1, 670 Ω
  2. Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.
    CAUTION: When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side.
    Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.

  3. Replace the switch assembly hazard if it is found defective.
