Air Intake Boot: Installation

  1. Install the turbo duct bracket.
    NOTE: Align the protrusion with the rotation stopper hole.

    Tightening torque: 

    18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

  2. Install the cushion to the turbo duct bracket.
    NOTE: Align the protrusion with the cutout portion.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  3. Install the front mud guard RH clip.
  4. Connect the turbo duct and the air intake boot.
    NOTE: Align the protrusion with the cutout portion.

    Tightening torque: 

    2.5 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 1.8 ft-lb)

  5. Set the turbo duct and the air intake boot from the upper side of the vehicle as one unit, and install the turbo duct to the turbo duct bracket.
    NOTE: Align the protrusion with the cutout portion.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  6. Connect the air intake boot to the intake duct No. 1.
    NOTE: Align the protrusion with the cutout portion.

    Tightening torque: 

    2.5 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 1.8 ft-lb)

  7. Install the under cover front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Front Under Cover>INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the air cleaner case. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>Air Cleaner Case>INSTALLATION .
  9. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
