Outer Mirror Assembly: Removal
CAUTION:
Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION

NOTE:
Refer to "DISASSEMBLY" for removal procedures of the cover - cap outer mirror and the mirror face. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOW/MIRRORS>OUTER MIRROR ASSEMBLY> DISASSEMBLY .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
.NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Remove the trim panel - front door. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>DOOR TRIM>REMOVAL>FRONT DOOR .
- Turn over the front sealing cover.CAUTION:
- Carefully remove the butyl tape. Excessive force will easily break the front sealing cover.
- If the front sealing cover gets broken, replace it with a new part.
- Be careful not to allow the butyl tape to contact any trims and seats because the butyl tape, which has a strong adhesive force, is difficult to remove once it adhered.
- Remove the connector clip that is installed on the panel assembly - front door, and disconnect the connector.
- Carefully remove and turn over the front sealing cover within the area where the operation can be performed.
- Remove the bolts to remove outer mirror assembly.
