Diagnostic procedure:

  1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Plug-in Battery Charger]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
  2. Turn to IG OFF, and wait for two minutes or more.
  3. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTC of [Plug-in Battery Charger] to check that there is no DTC displayed. Ref. to PLUG-IN BATTERY CHARGER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
    NOTE: If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step  1.
  4. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check [Data Monitor] of [P-HEV High Voltage Battery] to see if [Hybrid Battery SOC] is less than 70%. Ref. to P-HEV HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
  5. Turn to IG OFF, and wait for two minutes or more.
  6. Connect Electric vehicle charger cable assembly, and charge it for 30 seconds or more.
  7. Disconnect Electric vehicle charger cable assembly and wait for 10 seconds or more.
  8. Read the [Readiness code] of [Plug-in Battery Charger] using Subaru Select Monitor and check that the concerned self-diagnosis is completed. Ref. to PLUG-IN BATTERY CHARGER (DIAGNOSTICS)>ALL READINESS DIAGNOSTIC CODE(S) .
    NOTE: If the concerned DTC is displayed, the self-diagnosis of the DTC is not complete. Repeat from step  4.
  9. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTC of [Plug-in Battery Charger] to check that there is no DTC displayed. Ref. to PLUG-IN BATTERY CHARGER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
    NOTE: If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.
