VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM & H/U): Removal
CAUTION:
- Avoid unnecessary removal of parts in order to prevent fluid leakage.
- When the VDCCM & H/U components are removed, be sure to perform the installation according to the installation procedures. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U)>INSTALLATION .
- Perform the accumulator down drive. (Hybrid model) Ref. to BRAKE>BRAKE SYSTEM>OPERATION>ACCUMULATOR DOWN DRIVE .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
.NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Move the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE BOOT>REMOVAL
.NOTE: With the PCV hose connected, remove the air intake boot from the air cleaner case (rear) and throttle body.
- Remove the VDC control module & hydraulic control unit (VDCCM & H/U).CAUTION:
- Do not pull on the harness when disconnecting the connector.
- Wrap the brake pipe with a vinyl bag so as not to spill the brake fluid on the painted surface of the vehicle body.
- If brake fluid is spilled on the painted surface of the vehicle body, wash it off immediately with water and wipe clean.
