Backup Unit: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the heater control panel assembly. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>CONTROL PANEL>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the cover assembly front and the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the cover center side. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the duct console center. Ref. to CENTER .
  6. Remove the duct console front and the tray center UPR as a unit. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the backup unit.
    1. Release the connector and the clip.
    2. Remove the bolts and remove the backup unit.
