Front Hood Lock Assembly: Installation

  1. Before installation, check the following items.
    • The cable is free from deformation.
    • Grease is applied sufficiently to cable joints.

    If grease is insufficient, add it as necessary before assembling the cable.

  2. Install the cable assembly front hood.
  3. Adjust and install the lock assembly front hood.
    NOTE: Refer to "ADJUSTMENT" of the lock assembly front hood. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>Front Hood Lock Assembly>ADJUSTMENT .
    1. Install the lock assembly front hood with bolts and clips.

      Tightening torque: 

      33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

    2. Install the connector.
  4. Install the bracket grille front.
  5. Install the air intake duct (rear).
  6. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  7. Check the clearance and surface level gap between hood COMPL front and bumper face front, and adjust if it is outside the standard value. Ref. to EXTERIOR BODY PANELS>FRONT HOOD>ADJUSTMENT .
