Water Tank Pipe Assembly
CAUTION:
If the engine coolant is spilt over the engine or the exhaust pipe, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.
- Connect the water hose (A) and the water hose (B).
- Install the outlet engine coolant temperature sensor to the water tank pipe assembly No. 2. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR>INSTALLATION>OUTLET ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
- Set new O-rings.
- Connect the water tank pipe assembly No. 2 to the water hose (A), water hose (B) and water hose (C).
- Install the bolts securing the water tank pipe assembly No. 2 and install the clip (A).
Tightening torque:
16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)
- Install the thermo control valve assembly. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO)>Thermo Control Valve Assembly>INSTALLATION .
- Install the water tank pipe assembly No. 1 and connect the water hose (A).NOTE:
- For the bolt (B), use a crowfoot wrench for tightening.
- Use the following formula to calculate the reading of a torque wrench when tightening with a crowfoot wrench.
Calculation formula T = 6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb) x L1/(L1 + L2) T: Reading of the torque wrench
L1: Effective length of the torque wrench
L2: Effective length of the crowfoot wrenchNOTE: If the effective length of the tool used is unknown, consult the manufacturer of the tool.Tightening torque:
6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)
- Install the clip (A) and clip (B) and connect the radiator inlet hose.
- Install the high-pressure fuel delivery pipe assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>HIGH PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE>INSTALLATION>HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE ASSEMBLY .
- Install the air intake duct (rear). Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE DUCT>INSTALLATION .
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
- Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
