Dozing Alarm Operates Improperly
- Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to DRIVER MONITOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .
- Check "Check List for Interview", and describe conditions where the malfunctions occurred and information of the customer in detail. Ref. to Driver Monitor (Diagnostics)>Check List For Interview .
- Perform the check list for alarm. Ref. to DRIVER MONITOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>LIST>CHECK LIST FOR ALARM .
- CHECK COMBINATION METER
.
Perform the diagnosis for combination meter. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Go to 2 .
No : Perform the diagnosis according to the inspection for the combination meter.
- CHECK VDC
.
Perform the diagnosis for VDC. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Go to 3 .
No : Perform the diagnosis according to the inspection for VDC.
- CHECK COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE
.
Perform the diagnosis for cockpit control system. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
Is the check result OK?
Yes : Go to 4 .
No : Perform the diagnosis according to the inspection for cockpit control system.
- CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

Check if the vehicle was stopped.
Was the vehicle in stopped status?
Yes : Replace Driver Monitoring Unit. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>DRIVER MONITORING UNIT .
No : Go to 5 .
- CHECK FOR WEARING ACCESSORY
.
Check if the user was wearing any accessories such as glasses and sunglasses.
Was the user wearing any accessories?
Yes : Ask the user to remove the accessories.
When the trouble occurs again, Go to 6 .
No : Go to 6 .
- CHECK EYE CONDITION
.
Check if the user was squinting when smiling or due to glaring light from outside.
Was the user squinting?
Yes : Driver Monitoring System is normal.
No : Go to 7 .
- CHECK FOR DROWSINESS
.
Check if the user felt sleepy.
Did the user feel sleepy?
Yes : Driver Monitoring System is normal.
No : Driver Monitoring System is normal.
NOTE: Inform the user that the recognition may not work properly with the current driver monitoring system, and have the user decide whether or not to use.
