Rear Seat: Installation

Install the hinge assembly - rear backrest and the stay - rear floor.

Install the hinge assembly - rear backrest according to the following procedure.

CAUTION: When tightening the bolt (b), do not hold the hinge by hand. Doing so results in misalignment of the hinge installation position and may cause heavy lock force of rear seat back.

NOTE: To install the hinge assembly - rear backrest, follow the procedure below.

Temporarily tighten the bolt (a).
Tighten bolts in order of (b) → (c) → (d) → (a).

Tightening torque:

33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

Install the stay - rear floor.
Tightening torque:

21 N.m (2 kgf-m, 15.5 ft-lb)

Install the trim panel - rear pillar LWR. Refer to REAR QUARTER TRIM .
Install the backrest assembly RH and LH.
Tightening torque:

Refer to REAR SEAT .
NOTE:
- After installing the backrest assembly, make sure that each seat belt operates normally.
- Make sure that they are properly secured on each hook on the vehicle side.
Install the rear seat cushion assembly.
Connect the battery ground terminal. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
