Engine Starting System & Charging System (2.0L): Battery: Removal

  1. Remove the battery sensor. Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS(W/O STI)>BATTERY SENSOR>REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect the positive terminal of battery.
  3. Remove the battery cable holder from the battery rod.
  4. Remove the flange nut from battery rod and remove battery holder.

  5. Remove the battery.
