Engine Starting System & Charging System (2.0L): Starter: Removal

1. Remove the collector cover. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (W/O STI)>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
3. Remove the intercooler. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (W/O STI)>INTERCOOLER>REMOVAL .
4. Disconnect the connector (A) and terminal (B) from starter.

5. Lift up the vehicle.
6. Remove the nut or bolt at the bottom of the starter.
   NOTE: For the MT model, a bolt is used to the location (A).

7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Disconnect the terminal (A) from the cable stay and remove the cable stay and starter from the transmission.

CAUTION: In order to prevent damaging the terminal (A), fix the terminal (A) when loosing the bolt, and avoid the part from rotating together while loosening the bolt.
