Camera All Adjustment Mode (Replacement/Removal)

Perform this procedure when the stereo camera is replaced or re-adjustment is necessary (when stereo camera malfunctioning, when stereo camera reinstalled, when windshield glass replaced).

CAUTION:
  • When the stereo camera is replaced, be sure to perform the adjustment value clear operation first. When the adjustment value clear operation was skipped, restart the procedure from the adjustment value clear operation again. Ref. to  EYESIGHT>CAMERA ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION>PROCEDURE>ADJUSTMENT VALUE CLEAR  
  • Perform the camera all adjustment mode (replacement/removal) without passengers. 
  • If the vehicle is moved without successful completion of the camera all adjustment mode (replacement/removal), the warning light illuminates. 
  • Check that the headlight is off. 
  1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, select [Camera all adjustment mode (replacement/removal)] in [Work Support] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT
  2. When [Make the following adjustment/inspection. Please push OK if ready. If you finish the camera adjustment/inspection mode, you push cancel sw, and turn off IGN SW.] is displayed, select [OK] if preparation is ready.
  3. When [In process...] is displayed, wait until it finishes.
    NOTE:

    After camera adjustment, the function will be enabled, when the ignition switch is turned to OFF and the system is restarted. 

  4. When the accuracy rate inspection is finished correctly, and [Accuracy rate ∞% OK! Camera inspection has been completed normally. To save the adjustment and inspection results, turn OFF the ignition SW more than 5 seconds.] is displayed, select [OK] to go to step  9.
  5. When [Distance inspection NG! Distance inspection result is faulty. Check the installation distance between the chart and the vehicle again. (Important!) If there is no problem with the installation distance, select OK. Distance correction is performed, and the accuracy rate inspection is performed again. If there is a problem with the installation distance, cancel this procedure, correct the installation distance, and perform the procedure from the beginning.     NOTE:

    Distance check and adjustment of RANDOM CHART: Ref. to  EYESIGHT>CAMERA ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION>PROCEDURE>PREPARATIONS  

  6. When [Perform distance correction.] is displayed, select [OK]. When the distance correction is finished correctly, and [Distance correction OK! Distance correction has been completed normally. Perform accuracy rate inspection again.] is displayed, select [OK] and go to the accuracy rate inspection.
  7. After [Perform accuracy rate inspection.] is displayed, select [OK]. When the accuracy rate inspection is finished correctly, and [Accuracy rate ∞% OK! Camera inspection has been completed normally. To save the adjustment and inspection results, turn OFF the ignition SW more than 5 seconds.] is displayed, select [OK] to go to the next step.
  8. When [∞ NG!] is displayed during adjustment, refer to the NOTE below.
    CAUTION:

    For details on the displayed items, refer to the following list. Check the list items, and if the same NG item is displayed even when camera all adjustment mode (replacement/removal) is performed again, replace the stereo camera.

    • Confirm the part numbers and parameters (variant setting information) of EyeSight system components, and reconfirm that the unit should be installed to that vehicle.
    • To confirm the components, check each item.

    1403 [Optical Axis Contrast NG!]
    NOTE:
    • Detecting measures for the error codes 1403, 1404, 1405, 1406 and 1407 are different. 
    • Check items on error with high relevance are shown in the remarks. 
    1. Make sure that the stereo camera is installed correctly to the camera bracket.
    2. There should be no obstacles that block the stereo camera.
    3. Make sure that the lens hood is installed correctly to the camera bracket.
    4. The random chart should be the specified one.
    5. There should be no obstacles that block the random chart.
    6. Random chart must be set correctly for the vehicle.
    7. Grid pattern of random chart should not be dirty or damaged.
    8. Lighting circumstance for random chart should be normal.
    9. Make sure that the headlight is off.
    10. There should be no objects (reflection) on the instrument panel.
    11. Dirt should not adhere to the windshield glass or the lens portion or lens hood of the stereo camera.
    12. There should be no crack on the windshield glass.
    Highly relevant with the check items 1 to 12.
    1404 [Optical Axis Target Detection NG!] Highly relevant with the check items 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

    1501 [Distance correction NG!] When [Distance inspection NG!] is displayed and distance correction is performed without inspection, check the following.
    1. Make sure that the stereo camera is installed correctly to the camera bracket.
    2. Distance from random chart to wheel center of the vehicle should be 4, 000 mm (13 ft, 1 1/2 in).
    3. Lighting circumstance for random chart should be normal.

    18 (1) [Camera adjustment and Inspection NG!] Display [Initial Aiming Completion Status] of [Data monitor], and confirm that the display shows [Adjustment Value was cleared]. -
    (1) Displays one of 11 - 8A.
    NOTE:
  9. Turn the ignition switch to OFF and wait for approx. 10 seconds. (Time necessary to save adjustment and inspection result)
    CAUTION:
    • If the ignition switch OFF period after adjustment and inspection finished is short, the adjustment and inspection result cannot be saved correctly. Therefore, the warning is displayed on the meter LCD when the vehicle is moved. 
    • If the steering wheel is operated many times during adjustment and inspection preparation, the power steering control module is overheated. Therefore, you may have to wait for at least 10 seconds after turning the ignition switch to OFF. 
  10. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  11. Display [Aiming Completion Status] of [Data monitor], and confirm that the display shows [Exit]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR
    CAUTION:

    If the EyeSight warning indicator (yellow) illuminates on the combination meter even though [Aiming Completion Status] shows [Exit], check DTC of the stereo camera. Ref. to  COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) 

  12. Perform [Clear memory] of [DTC]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
  13. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  14. Subsequently perform the heater heating and cooling fan drive test. Ref. to EYESIGHT>CAMERA ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION>PROCEDURE>HEATER HEATING AND COOLING FAN DRIVE TEST 
    NOTE:

    When the stereo camera replacement and all initialization, the stereo camera connector installation or removal, or the heater connector installation or removal has not been conducted, perform the automatic adjustment and function check by a test driving.
